Standing Ovation for "Silver Lake"

Helmets off to the SCX crew for putting together a great event today! :D You guys know how to put together a race series. My wife stated this was a great spectator course that offered a lot of vantage points to enjoy our pain. For me, I thought this was a great course that forced you to think the entire way around.

Special applause needs to go out to Dan N. for his special ability to utilitze the beach in so many different ways.

Thanks for the fun, I can't wait to do it again next week.

Mr. Dan Norton should be salaried $100,000 (with a free Jet @ his disposal} to run the entire friggin' Cycloross Program for USAC  and take the entire crew of critical SCX Staff with him......wait a minute :o .....that would put US out of some of the best people in 'Cross.......never mind! Thank you good folks for a GREAT JOB yet again  !
Hey, also a big shout-out {times 10} to Phil Oppenheimer and his crew of trusty compatriots for the wonderful job they did for us today also. We are SOOOooooo Blessed to have so many wonderful people conflating an outstanding program such as we enjoy! BULLY! :P

I'm trying to decide if Rebelista smiles more during a race or when posting on the forum! Maybe he is a sadist and suffering is what makes him smile so much. Regardless, he is always fun to watch. I agree with all the shout-outs to Dan and the crew on today's course. Very fun, challenging and definitely used up alot of my limited cerebral powers to figure out the gearing throughout the course. Dan wasn't kidding when he advised to have the shifers in working order for this one. Too bad mine weren't :x

After Silver Lake we should all go back a week and read the forum comments calling Beverly Park "technical."

In all seriousness Silver Lake is the wildest cross course I have ever seen. That beach is pure madness! :D

Great venues this year guys!

Norton BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!

other course setters away. To all who helped devise this Kryptonite for the legs course I salute you. Thanks to all. Dan was smiling alot today. His schaudenfreude at our misery was a little conspicuous.

I agree with all the comments as this was another fantastic course. I want to add that Phil Oppenheimer was also one of the devious conspirators with Dan on the creation of this course.

I also ran into two of the park guys during the race and they loved what they saw. I there psyched that the parking lot was full. They loved how many families were here. They had no concerns about the impact on the terrain. They said....It will grow back by spring so it's all good.

Thanks again to everyone involved in the event today!

Seriously...hardest course I can remember.

And I welcome the comeback of soft muddy "trails". Circa Black Diamond....people who squawk "mountain bike course" can race track.

I don't think I have every hurt so bad in a race.

The guys and gals who built that did a good deed and the lord wept...and with any luck we'll be back next year!!!!

Thank you.
