Because of you, we are making a difference

Seattle Cyclocross is a non-profit organization that brings cyclocross racing to you every fall, and through cycling and your generous support of our series, we are changing lives. This year we were able to give over $15,000 aimed specifically to kids, through our contributions to various charities, programs, and by re-investing back into the cycling community.

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” – -Winston Churchill

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – Finding cures and saving children. Our donation to this remarkable organization totaled more than $7,100. And a special thanks goes out to the junior racing teams Rad Racing, 20/20 Fuel and ASC Racing who combined raised an additional $2,140 for this remarkable cause.

Major Taylor Project - Funded by a supporting grant from Cascade Bicycle Club, Major Taylor clubs aim to reach young people of all bicycling skill levels who are interested in joining a bicycle-riding club and have a demonstrated need for increased out-of-school-time activity, mentorship, social support or physical activity. The program integrates bicycle riding, community service, healthy living, fitness, safety, and bicycle maintenance, and road safety awareness.

Greater Everett Community Foundation – Serving families of Snohomish County and helping them to improve their quality of life. Our donation was to the Youth Scholarship program for youth who can’t afford to pay for recreation programs.

Evergreen High School, part of Highline School District - Making sure that each and every student graduate ready for college, career, and citizenship.

Beverly Park Elementary School, part of Highline School District - Making sure that each and every student graduate ready for college, career, and citizenship.

King County Parks & Recreation - Serving communities and enhancing regional quality of life through 180 Parks, 175 Miles of Trail, 25,000 Acres of Open Space.

Junior cycling programs: ASC Racing, Rad Racing NW, and more….

Again, thank you for supporting our series, helping us build community, and giving back to change many people’s lives.

We Want to Hear From You!

Seattle Cyclocross is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing you all with the best ‘cross experience possible. As the fastest growing segment of bike racing, we want to give a voice to as broad a segment of our growing community as we can.

Important Information About the Final Race - This Sunday!

Lots of stuff to throw your way, so here goes:

DIRECTIONS & PARKING:
If you use a mapping program, you can enter the address 14405 179th St SE, Monroe, WA to find the Fairgrounds. However, DO NOT ENTER THE FAIRGROUNDS FROM 179TH ST. SE.

From I-405 take exit 23 and merge onto WA-522 E toward Woodinville/US-2/Wenatchee. Go about 14 miles and turn right at Stevens Pass HWY/US-2. Go about .2 miles and Fairgrounds will be on your right. Enter off Cascade View Dr. (just like last year). Off Cascade View Dr. you will see the “Blue Parking Lot”, enter here and continue to the race track – SEE IMAGE BELOW.

** Please do not enter off 179th or park in these parking lots. There is another event taking place at the Arena and they have contracted for this parking.

OVERNIGHT PARKING: We do have a handful of spots available. If you are interested in overnight parking, please call Lisa Miller at 206-291-7773.

NEW BELGIUM FAT TIRE CRUISER BIKE: This super hip, super cool cruiser can be all yours should you purchase a raffle ticket (proceeds benefitting the Major Taylor Project). Yes, tickets are still available and will be for sale on Sunday – look for someone riding around on the bike to purchase your entry to win. This sweet ride will be raffled off at the awards ceremony following the 12:10pm race (approximately 1:45pm).

PRIZES & GIVEAWAYS: Have we got prizes! We’ve got yummy New Belgium liquid love, a Redline cross bike, season passes and some surprises we will be throwing your way. Additionally, season pass holder will have the special opportunity to win a Redline cross frame and the latest stealthy shoes from Northwave.

MR. CYCLOCROSS 2010: The lovely ladies from Ragnarok Racing are at it again this year and have selected the new Mr. Cyclocross. He has huge shoes to fill to live up to the job of Joe Martin. Please welcome our new cross ambassador when he is crowned at the awards ceremony following the 12:10pm race (approximately 1:45pm).

We are looking forward to concluding another successful year with you. Come celebrate!
